Acupuncture Treatment
Your initial acupuncture session will include a full case history and diagnosis treatment and treatment plan. Your treatment is then tailored to you and could include;
Acupuncture - the insertion of very fine needles into specific points along the bodies meridian system which creates balance and harmony.
Moxibustion - a herb used that may be used to aid healing by warming a area.
Cupping - another technique that could be used when there is stagnation or obstructed blood flow, the suction of the cups increases blood flow and releases tension.
Gua Sha - a tool used to break up stagnation and great for muscular tension.
Massage - specifically Tui Na which is Chinese massage that treats the body through massage techniques.
Herbs - Chinese herbal formauls may also be prescribed depending on your presentation.
None of the above mentioned techniques and painful, I use a very gentle style of treatment. Acupuncture works on the nervous system and is extremely relaxing.

Children
Children’s bodies tend to respond quicker to treatment so these sessions are shorter at 30-45 minutes and available up until 13 years of age. Babies and young children we treat without any needle insertion but moving the qi with massage tools over the body. This method is pain free and I may used press stickers on acupuncture points as a take home. As the children become more comfortable and at an appropriate age, very fine needles may be used with child and adult consent. The acupuncture is very gentle.
